Hey hey. How was your week?
On Saturday, I wandered around Pacific Beach for a bit with my film camera and shot two rolls (one was a 24-exposure color roll that was already in the camera; I think I meant to use it for something else but can’t for the life of me remember what. The other was a 36-exposure black and white roll). I’m looking forward to getting them developed and then planning my next “photo field trip.” I love just walking around looking for good shots once I get over the horrible awkwardness of it. Next time I might bring Husband or drag a friend along. Also, that way I’ll have a “model” and won’t have to try to take pictures of strangers on the street without seeming like a total creeper. (I’m really good at getting pictures of people’s backs.)
Then we hung out at home for the Superbowl and made this and HOLY DELICIOUSNESS. You should definitely make it. Unless you’re a weirdo who doesn’t like garlic. I’m the kind of chef who says “the recipe called for two cloves of garlic so I added three,” so I thought it was perfect. We barely ate a quarter of it and couldn’t move afterward. (I also made these and I am not great with yeast and dough — hint, when it says “place bowl in warm place for 1 hour” they just mean, like, room temp, not on the stovetop of an oven turned up to 350 — so they didn’t really come out right, but were still pretty tasty. Especially with the dip.)

Half there. The new theme/layout/whatever is up and running but I still need to fix my sidebar and do some tweaks and stuff. God, updating a blog when your knowledge of HTML and code and stuff is limited to <b> and <p> is hard.
02 | 30-Day Yoga Challenge
I’ve done four of the videos and went to two studio classes last week! I slacked over the weekend but I’m really like the videos so far.
03 | fix my sleep habits, phase I
Ehh, not so much on the “screens off by 9:00” (most nights I sort of tried…) but on Wednesday I decided to turn my husband into my alarm clock, since the alarm on my phone is completely ineffective. He gets up sometime before 6:00, usually, and leaves for work between 6:30 and 6:45, so I asked him to — instead of just kissing my half-comatose self good-bye — wake me up and make sure I get out of bed before he leaves. Yes, I’m a grown woman who can’t get out of bed on her own, but it’s worked so far.
04 | be more intentional with social networking
Well, I wrote down “Twitter” and “LinkedIn” and stuff in my planner each day, but last week was crazy busy, yo, and I didn’t spend one “intentional” second on any social network last week.

02 | give Onyx a bath
After a damp trail run on Saturday and hiking on Sunday, she needs it bad. She hates bathes and makes me carry her into the tub and then sulks in her spot by the couch for at least three hours after. I ignore this and talk to her in a singsong baby voice the whole time and take pictures of her looking pathetic. She also needs to be brushed so she’ll stop shedding all over the couch. Which she also hates.
03 | fix my sleep habits, phase I 1/2
Now that I’ve got a method of getting up at a reasonable hour for a grown-up, I still want to focus on shutting down the laptop and winding down earlier in the evenings. And not having to work in the evenings so I can spend that “quality time” with Husband or be able to go see friends or whatever.
