On Thursday, I tripped at the beginning of my run (I think I stepped in a pothole as I came off a curb) and fell hard. Now I’ve got some really beautiful road rash on my shoulder and knee, a gnarly, rainbow-colored bruise on my other knee, and a sprained/stiff ankle. It’s super fun. My knee is so sensitive that my bedsheets moving over it hurts, so I wear one of those extra-large bandages at night. Super fun.
Of course, I haven’t let that keep me from running. Just a little slower and easier than I had planned. My ankle loosens up and feels fine after a mile or so, so I’m mostly confident I’m not making it worse or doing long-term damage.

Done. She was pretty good about it. Except for glaring at me the entire time. Especially when I stopped to take pictures. If you don’t think dogs can glare, believe me, mine can.

This Week’s Wishes
01 | manage my deadlines
I scored a massive project last week with a super-quick turnaround, and a long-term project is (almost) finally finishing up, so I’ll be head down, super focused, busy bee this week.
02 | not slack on running or yoga
So, this is kinda the first time in my freelancing life that I’ve had this kind of workload. And I can see myself very easily saying “screw yoga, must work” all week and waking up on Friday kinda hating myself. I’d rather that not happen.
