Monthly Photo Challenge: Mornings

Monthly Photo Challenge: Morningsfeatured

So, P.J. hosts this awesome monthly photo blogging challenge, and last month, when he shared the theme (which was “mornings”), I thought oh, that sounds like fun, I’ll totally do that. I put a little note in my editorial calendar…and promptly forgot all about it and didn’t intentionally take a single photo for the challenge all month.

But! I looked back through my photos from November and found a handful that would qualify. Mostly snaps from my morning walks with Onyx. So here ya go…

Monthly Photo Challenge: Mornings {the ponytail diaries}

1. Friendly lil’ hydrant

I just thought this was cute and random. I wanted to write a weird little story about it. I haven’t (yet?).

2. Unidentified succulents

I wish I understood how to propagate succulents. I see other bloggers doing it, with photos and everything, and I somehow still don’t get it.

3. From Cowles

Onyx and I (and several thousand other people) hiked up Cowles on Veterans Day (I think I underestimated how many people would have that day off). It was clear and brilliant and beautiful.

4. Morning palms

Those palms in the morning light (and PM golden hour) just get me. Every time.

5. Obligatory blogger/Instagram cliche

That #fallcolor though.

Maybe this month I’ll be a little more intentional with the theme…

  • Great pictures! xx Larisa @ weheartbeauty.com

  • Wonderful pictures Allison. I especially like the baseball cap on the massive pipe..nice ‘oddball’ photograph. The palm trees in the sky look very inviting and your last shot gives such good strong colorful tones. Well done.

    • Thanks Clare! I felt super weird taking the baseball cap photo — like, “will any of my neighbors see me and think I’m nuts?”

  • Love your take on the theme for November. Hope you’ll join us again sometime. That hat on the hydrant is really cool of a find. That’s the type of stuff I always stop for as well. The leaf at the end is nice and that look over the city is cool, too. Especially with that sky!
